Why dieting is bad for us and what we can do to improve our health
Monday 26th October 2009, 7.30pm – 9.00pm
Thursday 29th October 2009, 7.30pm – 9.00pm
There are good scientific reasons why our bodies don't like dieting and resist losing weight - it isn't healthy. Lucy Aphramor is a health at every size dietitian with an NHS cardiac rehab team and a researcher at Coventry University. She will be explaining the scientific reasons why dieting isn't good for us and looking at the way science is misrepresented to promote weight loss. Lucy will also introduce a safe alternative approach which makes us feel better and really will improve our health in the long term. These are free talks by dietitian Lucy Aphramor in Coventry and Leamington Spa, in association with Cafe Scientifique. Part of the Learning Revolution Festival |
